I am a writer. In addition to this blog, I write newsletters, grant applications, Facebook and web page content, videos, and other outreach materials. I work with arts and cultural institutions on fundraising and public engagement. I have experience in museum programming and exhibits, including a Smithsonian Museums on Main Street exhibit from the grant application to the supplemental exhibit content to the final report. My masters thesis was on making museums more effective through relevance, collaboration, and inclusion. I also have a long history in brownfield redevelopment incentives, community economic development, and placemaking. My interests are arts, humanities, and community-building.
As your consultant, I will help you with grant research, proposals, and grant applications. I can edit a grant you’ve written. Once a grant is awarded, I will help you with grant administration and reporting. I can write your social media and web page content, press releases, and fundraising letters and materials. I can help you with a crowdfunding campaign.
I charge an hourly rate for all services which may be negotiated based on an organization’s annual budget and other considerations. The maximum hourly rate is $65/hour. An additional 15% will be charged on rush projects (less than one month of lead time for grant applications or one week for other materials).
My day job is with environmental consulting firm Fishbeck, where I’m a senior brownfield specialist. If you’re looking for help with brownfield grants, loans, tax incentives, environmental consulting, engineering, architecture, or construction, please get in touch.
Please see www.linkedin.com/in/susanwenzlick for more about my qualifications, and contact me at ordinaryvirtues@gmail.com if I can be of service.
